Plattsburg Repeater Update

The new ADR interface for the repeater is back on the air. There was an issue with the circuit board from ARCOM and was repaired under warranty. The repeater is now linked to the Osborn repeaters and the Kingston repeater is linked to Plattsburg. Sunday night nets will now be on all 4 repeaters again, and all 4 are linked 24/7.

With the new interface installed the repeater will only send analog traffic over the linked repeaters. However, the repeater is still digital capable and will work as a standalone with no linking when digital is being used.

We have been running at 20 watts and plans are in the near future to add an amp to increase power to 60 watts, this will make the receive and transmit circles closer to the same area. Right now the repeater is receiving much better than transmit. An attenuater will need to be ordered to make the input power compatible with the amp.

Any questions about the repeater functions or issues that you notice please contact kc0qlu (at) nwmoares.org.

Timers have been adjusted to eliminate the double keying at the end of every transmission. The repeater is also transmitting a 114.8 tone so if you would like to eliminate the announcements on your radio simply set your radio to TSQ and you will no longer hear them.
